A celebration of Sheila Fisher's life

This site is a tribute to Sheila Fisher who was born in Musselburgh in March 1937 and died suddenly in Corstorphine, Edinburgh on February 8th 2021.

She was a loving and devoted wife to Alex for almost 63 years, loving mother of Richard, Gordon and Alan, mother-in-law to Frances, Annette and Jackie, nana to Katie, Jack, Lucy, Bonnie and Murray and sister to John and Pearl.

As a young lass Sheila trained as a nurse but put her career on hold to bring up her three boys. At this time she also worked in the family planning clinics in Edinburgh. Sheila enjoyed an active life with badminton, cycling and bowls playing a big part. She also loved to travel and was fortunate to holiday all over the world with Alex. Closer to home, she loved holidays in her touring caravan and laterly her static caravan in Seahouses. More recently she enjoyed the David Lloyd club, where her daily swim in the outdoor pool was a great start to the day.

Sheila loved life and lived it to the full with her beloved Alex always by her side. She acheived so much in her 83 years and will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all.  "Some suns never set"

Please add any tributes or memories of Sheila you wish to share on this site.
